The “Project”:

Fr. Stan’s story belongs to everyone - its an invitation to know god through his example. As a member of these or other communities not mentioned, you are encouraged to feel that Fr. Stan was ‘one of you’. That means you can speak up and tell his story - you are a part of his community and he is a part of yours.

If you are inspired to do so, read more using the Additional Resources on this page or elsewhere - and spread the word if you find an appropriate place and time to do so. Only when you speak about him will he be remembered, and his example serve its purpose…. to be followed!

Contemplate what his example means to you and your community

Many have found Fr. Stan’s life to be a meaningful and powerful example of a true follower of Christ. How would we be guided by it? How will we discover such faith within ourselves and exemplify such a dedication to service for those around us to witness? Could our clubs, our towns, our families and our larger communities be changed for the better with more dedicated leaders? Can our personal relationships use a dose of the “Rother” hard work, love and humility? Could we find greater purpose and pride in our own life while on a stronger path of service to others? Certainly we are not all called to risk our lives for our community. But we are all called to serve in some way.

If you feel compelled, do something in his name

The “Project” will provide you with ideas and connections with others, should you seek to be more involved. We can support his Cause in various important ways. Actions in support of the Canonization can fall into four groups (the 4 “P”s): Passing the Word, Prayer, Pilgrimage and other Projects.

On the one hand, the larger the community of those who ask for his help, his intercession, the more numerous the opportunities for his spirit to move, and thus greater will be the chances of a miracle being attributed to him. In that case, Sainthood would be granted to him through the Canonization process. At the same time, we can act in small ways that will serve to spread his story or just deepen our own commitment to service.

A community of loved ones will spread the presence of Fr. Stan’s example in our world. It is an example that is sorely needed!
